Also i read somewhere that you cant have 4 gigs of ram on 32 bit windows xp... is this true am i gonna have to have vista to have 4 gigs of ram....

I was also just wondering if thier would be any other problems with anything on this list and if it would work all together......

That is true about the 4 gigs on XP 32-bit. I just put a system together using 4 gigs and it only uses 3.37 gigs of it (which is still plenty, for me anyway). Nothing bad about having 4 gigs. Plus you'll have it down the road if you ever upgrade.

ok cool so it will work it just wont use all the gigs that works for me i just was worried id have to buy a certain amounts of gigs to get the most out of it... thanks Brett

the graphics card you showed me last was deactivated... can you show me another.
Also i was wondering if that psu has enough power to run everything
Thank you

Ok, this psu is on sale now so go with it instead:

And this video card:

As for the psu, use the coupon code listed at the top of this page to get $10 off:

Also, as far as motherboards go now, this is a little better:

Or, since the above mobo is capable of crossfire(adding in another 4770 down the road), maybe spend the few dollars more to get a power supply that would allow you to crossfire in the future(The stealthxstream will support a single 4770 just fine, but probably not two of them, so futureproofing your power supply is what you would be doing by getting this one):

Id just get an HD4850, its a great card. I have 2 of them in X-fire and they work great @ 1920x1080. Whats $30 more for a card that wont disappoint? :P

Its more like $40ish more after rebate, and its that much more for only a 5% performance increase and higher power consumption? Atm i think best bang for the buck is the 4770

also you really think i should get vista.....i just want my comp for mostly gaming....doesn't vista take up ram or something or will it be good for gaming?

what is crossfire...what does it do or why do i want it?
Crossfire means adding in a second gpu later down the road, you need a higher powered power supply than what you need for single card, so if you go for a 650watt then it leaves you room to add in another 4770 down the road.
also what is a good graphics card right now?
The 4770 as far as price->performance goes, its better than a 4830 and 9800gt, and is only 5% or so slower than a 4850.

For gaming you want vista, directx10. Even though vista has its downfalls, its a great os and alot better with service pack 1. All the negativity still surrounds it though because before serivce pack 1 vista sucked.

also i think im gonna stick with the cheaper Psu... money is a factor and once i get a job this summer and want to upgrade i will.

Sounds good, was just suggesting goin for the better psu now as you wouldnt have to buy another psu down the road, but if you ever upgrade it and decide to sell ur old one, i recommend craigslist;)
