I have an Acer Aspire x1300 that is running W7, upgraded from Vista. I am trying to dual boot XP with W7.
I have partitioned a space on the HD for XP and formatted the space. But every time I try to load XP from my XP, SP3, installation disk I get the following message: "Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated."
The letter G was assigned by the computer to the XP partition and Disk management says that the XP partition is a primary partition but I can't get XP to load. It will load all the files and when it says "starting windows" is when I get the above message.
So, how do I get XP to load. Thanks
