Okay, so I just finished building my new desktop today. Here's what it consists of:
XFX PVT98GYDLH GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
SIGMA SHARK SP-585 585W ATX12V V2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
BIOSTAR TA790GXB A2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor Model HDZ940XCGIBOX
I get it up to the point where the MOBO gives me the hardware monitor screen that has temp/voltage/etc. I had it going through Windows XP pro installation once, but it froze up once it actually started to install windows.
It gives me one beep upon start up. This beep means no media present. ( insert dikette into floppy drive: A). I do have a floppy drive in this computer, but I tried unplugging both the connector and power from it and it still gave me one beep. No matter what I do, I can't get it to get to installing windows. Help me out here please!
Thanks,
Will
