Trying To Install XP Pro

My laptop has two drives in it, one has Vista which is the main, and I just set up the second one with two partitions, and I want one of the partitions to have XP on it. Since these are two separate drives, I don't think I'll run into any problems, right? Though, when I get to the XP installation blue screen, it loads and then says it can't find any drives, and then has me shut down. I'm currently loading XP in a virtual machine to see if it will do what I need to do, but if it doesn't I'll have to install it on that partition.

Any ideas?

Are the drives in raid perhaps? Is there a particular reason you need xp x64? You could always try windows 7 with xp mode...

Well my podcast hardware and software don't work too well with Vista 32, and they worked fine on an XP machine, so.. What's this Windows 7 XP mode you're talking about?

Hm, nice, I got the XP virtual machine up, and it seems fine, I'm just having trouble with my audio settings, and my recording software.
