the ocz ram special going on at newegg drops you down like 50 bucks, no need for that motherboard, maybe and asus a8n sli deluxe/premium
also, you can use the onboard audio for a while till you have enouhg money for a better sound card, saves you 95, no need for that optical drive, you can get one for same performance for like 17 less, same thing with floppy (you can get one for 6 less), you can also proabbly find a decent/same hard drive for like 20 less, so in conclusion, 50+95+17+6+20=188 i think
Total amount saved: $188

So yes, you can save about 200 dollars

Ok well for the processor get the 3500+ that shaves off $20

Go with 1 gigabyte of RAM since thats good for alomost all games now, plus you can overclock better. A gig of gaming RAM would be like $160 so that shaves off $120

Screen not much you can do there.

Motherboard you can get the Ultra-D, think about it are you REALLY going to use SLI, that would shave off $60 otherwise its the same.

For the HDD SATA 3.0 Gb/s isnt that much faster than regular SATA, by getting a cheaper drive you can save about $40.

Case you could get one of those cheapy's but cases are really just preferance so its up to you.

Power supply I wouldnt go cheap on that because you've got a pretty powerfull system here.

Sound card well unless you listen to music alot or are an audiophile you could save $70 there and just stick with onboard which is pretty good quality.

You could get a cheaper burner and save like $17 lol but you may not want to.

And you could save $4 on the floppy by going with a samsung or mitsumishi.

Soooooo if my math is right then you can save $331 :P
