Trying to reinstall Windows 7, then upgrade 10...

So the hard drive in my computer crashed and I must have pitched my install disc on accident. Dell can't get me one for a week or so and Microsoft won't send me one because Windows 7 is a "legacy OS" and they have taken the install file down for the OEM copy.

So I "aquire" a Windows 7 .iso and figure that I'll use my MacBook from 2009 to format it to a flash drive. My MacBook has an optical drive and because of that, it cannot install a Windows partition onto a usb drive. So then I went to pick up a DVD to burn it to but the Mac is so old that it won't write a dvd.

I don't have another PC to work from but I do have a dock for a SATA hdd. Anyone have ideas how to install Windows 7 to the hard drive directly with the dock and that .iso file? I don't know my way around a Mac very well.

You sir, are a genius!! I am installing as we speak. I didn't even know what Parallel was, but it's some pretty cool software.
