trying to uninstall windows 98

im trying to clean my computer completly, i have windows 98 installed on it and i wanna uninstall it i go to my add and remove programs and dont see where i can uninstall it ,is their any other way to remove windows 98 completly so i can start a fresh install of windows xp or can someone post like a walk threw for me on how to uninstall the windows 98 from the laptop all i know everytime i run my microsoft windows xp home edition service pack 2 it would run to the point where it would say cant locate a drive to save but somthing about it can save on drive c and ask for 612 mb but i only have like 312 room so im lost .............

hheee,,,,,,,you could do a level format. you can get it from the hd manufacture. i would'nt worry about that from your post. install the xp disc and it will ask if you want a format. One thing though. if it had 98 and if the orginal i doubt if the computer will be fast enough.

you might be disappointed!
 
Like said, just boot to the XP cd, delete the FAT32 partition, create a NTFS partition, format and it will start the XP install. But check your system and make sure it will support XP.

the installation of Windows XP will "uninstall" your Windows 98. but, to be honest, judging by your post, i dont think you have the knowledge to install Windows XP. you might want to find a friend or bring it to a computer shop

well to be honest i would like for somone to tell me how toy delete the fat partition and create the ntfs partition format im new here would appreciate the help

i followed the instructions now im at a part where it stop cause it says
partitional [fat 32] 4126 mb 103 free then when i click onto it it say the partition is to full then i tried to delete it it say cant delete cause its used for the instalation somthing like that

if you can guide me threw here to the end of this sure would be appreciated like i said im new and this is a headache
