trying to upgrade starting with mobo

i have had my pentium 4 2ghz machine since 2002 and now have felt the need to upgrade .. i will start off by addressing the motherboard issue. i have found a motherboard/cpu bundle which i have listed below and i want to see if it's a good choice. i eventually want to end up with 3-4 internal hardrives, probably 1 dvd burner and 1 dvd/cd rw combo, an audigy 2 sound card, a decent graphics card

anyway here is the motherboard and its price. i wondered if i could get a better bundle for a better price ( i was a core 2 duo processor)

well its a good proc okay price not sure bout the mobo though also whats the rest of your system like ex.GPU RAM
 
Also note it is "G" 965- many more option with "P"965 boards or even 975 intel boards. If you are going to stp up to C2D you should at least go P965.

Check Intel site for difference/feature between G&P 965 and/or 975 boards.

I got an Intel (NIB) DP965LT in forums for $55.00 Ship around,they are out there. Seems like lots of people splitting up Intel retail edge promotion packages (MB/Processor) like green stamps for selling $$$ intel products.
