Turion or Centrino

i have a budget of around 900USD. i want to know which processor is better for a laptop which would be used for general purpose and bit of gaming.
also how much of RAM should i go for considering that the integrated cards use up some of the RAM(224 MB in the ones i have looked at) during gaming.

I would go with a Core Duo if the budget could support it, which might be a challenge. But between Centrino and Turion, go Turion.
 
Intel has the mobile market. I'd definetly go with them. As for have 224M of RAM...that amount must be after being shared. I don't know what the system has for the total system RAM, but I'd look for some that had dedicated RAM if you plan to play anything worth while. Though, with a $900 budget, you probably won't be able to get a very dedicated GFX card, I'm afraid.
 
turion, definetely my mates got basically hte same spec laptop as me, same gfx card, but centrino, mines better easily, so turion, and buy a machine with dedicated gfx if you can
 
there seems to be a divide ove rwhich one to get. so i would recommend get the best deal. also if your budget could stretch core duo would be the go
