Turn off 'Eject USB Device'

Hi,

I am using a USB wireless ethernet adapter to connect wirelessly to the internet. Probmel is it shows up as a USB device and I can "Eject it" but I don't want this to be an option.

Is there a way I can remove this particular device from 'Safely remove device' options on the bottom right hand side of the task bar.

Sorry for the poor explanation but I hope this helps.
 
It is a USB device though and you probably should use that to safely remove it. Not exactly sure why that's a problem though...?

I however pay no attention to safe removal and have been ripping (not literally) USB drives and devices out for years and have never had an issue.
 
You can hide that icon if you prefer. But it really shouldn't be any real big problem...
 
Na I will not want to remove this device. It will be used to connect to the internet daily. I only want storage devices showing up in this area but I take your point. Just wondered if there was a way/method to do it.
