Turn Wireless Router into a Bridge for gaming

My dad just got a new router and has given me a Linksys Wireless G router, and I want to use this router back at my mom's house as a bridge so I can hook my PlayStation 2 up to it as my current method of getting online is laggy. Is it possible to turn the router into a bridge to where i can plug a land line from the output ports to my PS2 or not?

I have Googled this and found articles on how to turn it into a wireless access point(bridge) but I need to be able for it to broadcast the signal through a CAT5 cable and not just repeat the wireless signal.

If it isn't possible just let me know, it's no big deal as i will just use my current method.

you have to reflash the firmware i found that on google i just happened to remember it. and if you have a laptop its as simple as right clicking you wireless network -> properties -> Sharing -> tick the first box. connect ethernet cable between laptop and ps2. i do that with my xbox360.
