Turning Wireless

Hey Guys...

i know this is going to sound like a dumb question but im going to ask it anyways!!!

currently i have my internet running through a cable. so it goes from the ADSL cable to the modem and then through the ethernet cable into the back of my laptop.

to go wireless is all i need a wireless modem? or a router? infact whats the difference?

You get ADSL Wireless routers, they have modems built in, so you can get rid of your old one.

Plain Wireless Routers dont have modems built in, so you would then need to plug your existing modem into one of the ethernet ports (marked WAN) on it.

Basically thats why ADSL ones are more expensive, because they have modems built in and therefore look tidier etc...
