Does anyone know (or tried) if you can output to a tv (52" lcd) and a 23" monitor at the same time on one graphics card? or would you need two in xfire/sli ? i was going to try when i get back in the country, but i just wanted to know if anyone has tried this successfully. i would like to use the monitor for gaming, and the tv to watch shows/movies.(btw i'm using the and 7970)

another question.

say you have two 7970s. what happens if you have them both installed, but not xfired (no xfire ribbon connected). Do you get two different screens? or is it still one screen output. (confused? i think i am too..)

yes like on my video card it has dvi, vga and s-video

one monitor is connected via dvi
and the other is connected via vga

i know you can use the multiple connections in the back, i'm just not sure one video card will be able to handle both a monitor and a tv @ 1980x1080. so i was wondering if i need to get another card. i guess i'll just try it out when i get home :) thnx guys

It will be able to handle it, no problem. As long as you're not playing games on both (I dunno how you would...) it'll be fine.
