Hi guys.
I'll cut to the chase, within the past 3 years, I've gone through around 5 TV Cards. From Freecom, Hauppage, Leadtek etc etc.
Each one has given me stuttery frames, and a miserable experience. Although some channels, pick up fine and I have no problems with.
My Terrestrial Aerial is Crystal Clear, picks up all 5 channels easily and theres no signal problems whatsoever. I also have a Freeview box on the line, which also picks up around 75 channels, all viewable.
During my last card, I picked up around 50 channels, had around 8 watchable. Also stuck a freeview box to try to act like a booster before the line hit the card.
Oh, I also have a Signal booster on the line straight from the aerial.
I'm again in the market for a new TV Card, have been looking at this. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-014-CP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=169
I'm in a freeview area. And my reception is good.
The only thing I can think of is that the booster in my house is straight after the aerial. This is because there are multiple lines connecting from it going to various areas in the house.
I'd assume it's best to have a signal booster some distance down the line? So that when the signal does eventually become weak, its boosted. Instead of being boosted when theres a good signal anyway.
Anyway I'm thinking about picking up a cheap TV Booster and sticking it on the end of my line, then running it to my TV Card.
Any idea's? Would his be the best bet?
EDIT: Also, I've layed down a brand new line straight from the Booster Box into my room, and theres no improvement...
