TV Media Adware

ok... so I've got this massive log file on my computer. I only found it after I defragmented my disc. The thing is taking up 1.5GB of my disc space and I can't get rid of it. It's called tvm.log and is in my temporary internet files folder. However, it is hidden. Even when I click "Show Hidden Files" it is still hidden.

I found this one adware detector which detected it, but wouldn't remove it unless I paid them (and frankly, I don't want to)... Here's the report it gave, though...

PS just so you know. The adware is not physically present. There is no .exe file, I just need to remove the log file which remains.

Download and install 'CCleaner Basic' here http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx

Go to 'Control Panel/ System/System Restore' and check the box ' Turn off system restore on all drives' click 'apply' and 'okay'.

Make sure the following boxes are checked and for this first run, also check 'Windows Log Files'.Now run the cleaner, reboot, run once more and 'Enable' system restore again and create a 'New Restore Point' by going to 'Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore'.

Thanks for your help, but I solved it another way.

Incase someone else has this problem... I downloaded WinRAR and it showed up the hidden files in my Temp folder, after which I was able to delete them.

I appreciate the effort, though. ;)
