hi,

what is the best software for having TV on your PC, I have got an arial to recieve it, and had 'Intervideo home theatre' bundled with my PC for using TV, but i really do not like this software, i find it hard to use, and dont like the display interface too.

(I would really like to be able to record TV too, and even better, too schedule the software to record a certain program, at a certain time, in case i want to go out:) )

thankjs:)

hi,
im not interested in buying any new hardware, like 'winTV PVR 350', i have already got an ariel that i can connect to my PC.
for the software, does this 'sage tv' work for a normal TV receiver connected to the PC, like i have got? it keeps mentioning online video. is this to have TV streamed through the internet only? or am i just getting congfused:D

There are two things - analog TV and digital TV.
Your antenna gives analog TV signal, but you need a TV Tuner card
to view the programs.

The TV programs on web are digital. No extra card is necessary.
But your internet connection must be fast.
With 300 kbps, you get some low resolution programs.
With 500 kbps, you get some good resolution programs.
For a very good DVD quality, you need 2000 kbps connection.

Try this freeware video player for web TV:

hi, I am using an antenna, analoge, and have it pluged into the RF socket of my TV tuner card, which contains an ADC, so the output is digital, my internet connection is pretty crap, so ive given up on streaming the TV from the net

I USED SAGE for awile and they have a program guide and everything but now i have Vista which includes Media center.
