Hey everyone. I have an old computer (not too old...) with a Geforce4 MX 420 video card. It has a S-Video out on the card to hook up to TV's. I'm trying to get it to work with my TV but nothing shows up on the TV. It flashed white for a second and goes out. The computer doesnt start up like normal either. (Based on the sounds) I'd really like to get it working..any ideas? Thanks.

try dropping the resolution to the lowest on the pc. Also there should be a setting t enable the tv out port.

Also, there will be no sound with the connection.

I'm presuming you have the TV on the right channel :P.

1. Right click anywhere on your desktop and goto properties.

2. Click the settings tab, then click on advanced.

3. Click the tab with the name of your adapter on it.

4. A little menu should pop up, goto tools on that menu.

5. Click detect displays if you still have no luck check the Force TV detection box, click apply then ok reboot and see if that works.

thx for the replies. I found the force TV connection, i found a setting to enable TV out...and nothing at all changed. (By the way i tried low res and i know that there would be no sound haha) Its weird...it flashes for a second, and i can see a cursor in the top left. Then it goes out and thats all that happens. I know the cable is good because my other computers use it too.

Any more help is appreciated.

EDIT: Umm..okay...suddenly after NO further changes it decided to work. Thanks guys lol
