TV to Computer

I just got a VGA Adapter to TV S-Video RCA Out Cable for PC Video and when I tryed pluging it into my computer nothing would show up on my tv like the computer dosen't even know it's connected plz help me:(
 
Right, not sure if you tried this, but on desktop, right click, screen resolution, detect, that might help. also on tv do not forget to switch to the channel that hosts the S-video
it might work!, does you tv have any other inputs..
