TV Tuner help

could someone help me find a good Tv tuner card? im not sure what to look for and i need it to be compatible with a Vizio 1080p hdtv. oh it also need to be affordable and pci or pci-e. plus i have DirecTV HD. im building a media center so it needs to work well!!!!

will a normal tv tuner work with a HD? i dont need hi-def recording.

You would have to look over the details on any model to see if it supports high definition tv. Most of the time you are better off with a separate pci card there in the event you decide on a newer model video card. Or if it decides to quit at some point you are not stuck without video. The reason for one make and model earlier was to point out one make that has proven itself well in the last several years here for different products. The last card simply lost sound after 4yrs. of constant use. It did pay for itself however.
