Two Motherboard System?

Is that even possible? I'm curious because I have two old windows 98 boxes lying around. They're both old cheap systems, one is a Gateway and the other is a HP. My goal is to combine the two systems and make a decent one. I was thinking of using linux as the OS. I haven't the slightest clue of how I would fuse the two boxes.

I don't think it's possible with two different motherboards.

It probably may not even be possible even if they are both the same.

My vote is a no go.

Actually, Ive seen a two mobo system before. It was really weird, but it worked. They were two separate computers, but he somehow had them share the same resources, and wrote a program that split up the workload between the two.
Both mobo's were inside the same case.
Its pretty advanced stuff.
