Two Nivida GTX 460's (sli) or one GTX 480?

I'm not sure what to go for. If I'm getting the 480, I'm going to have to save up for a bit. So if anything I'd buy one 460 and get the second one later.

If you need any info on motherboards or anything like that just ask.

I would go with one GTX 570 or 580. You might have to save up a bit more but it's worth it IMO.

A pair of stock clock 1GB 460s in SLI will just about match the 580 and will outperform the 570 by about 12% at the upper resolutions per TechPowerUp, (GTX 580, GTX 570, GTX 460 SLI

basicly, you look at what you can afford...

the single card is always the better option but in my case i bought the 460 with the view to buy another.

if i had the cash in one go i would buy the single most powerfull card i could.

if you can afford the single card option then go for that if not look at the gtx 460 and the ati 6850/70
