Please bear with me if my English sucks, I'm trying to make it clear as possible.

My old computer shuts down all of sudden and I had to turn it on then there was an error message saying theres some damages to my OS. I couldn't log on to windows at all. I was stuck, so I took out my win xp cd to try to repair it. I don't know anything about formatting or partition (unsure what it means) I guessed and selected delete partition or something and it installed fresh win xp and it worked. My old computer is working until I restarted the computer and I noticed that there are two OS, one is fresh and other one is the damaged one. Im able to log on with new win xp, but couldnt log on the other, same way it was before I tried to fix it. I need to remove the damaged one. Do I start over again and select format but what does it look like ? NTFS ? Im guessing NTFS means formatting to erase everything including any damages and start fresh with new win xp. Is it safe to do it again? I would appreciate any help!

It seems it would be an NTFS because you no longer have the partition becuase you deleted it. If you can get into the new windows then you should simply be able to delete your old version's folder if you really have to. I had to do the the same thing and setup all new windows. I erased the old folder, when i was in the newer one, it should just be on C drive.
