Two Power Supplies

Hello,
My power supply broke and needs to be sent in for repairs. However, my friend has 2 spare power supplies, a 200W and a 450W. Is it possible to use two power supplies for one computer, if I plugged the 200W into my graphics card and the 400W into everything else? I've never heard of anyone doing this before, but it seems like it would be fine. Then again, what do I know? My specs are:
HDD: Seagate Barracude 2TB
SSD: PNY XLRB Pro 120GB
Mobo: Gigabyte z77x-UD3H
RAM: Corsair Vengence 1600 MHz 8gb (2x4gb)
CPU:Intel i5-3570k
GPU: PNY GTX 770 4GB
Thanks

It is possible, but even then, probably not enough for your system.

Post exact models and we'll tell you.

I have the NZXT Phantom Enthusiast. Theoretically, I could just leave one PSU out of the case and run the chords in through the holes for the water cooling system, since I don't have one installed.

Im talking about the model of the Power Supply unit.

You're tryinng to run a 3570k, a GTX770 on what are likely to be two OEM rubbish power supply units. Aint going to happen. You may get away with it, but it sounds like (since you've already lost one PSU) that you need to remind yourself of the importance of the PSU quality.

Please post the PSU model numbers (450W and 250W) and we can assess if, and whether you should do this.

Ok mate, do that. The PSU's are what im interested in. There are adaptors that will allow a 'good' signal to be sent to both PSUs, thus turning them both on, or the paperclip method, but that is particularly dangerous on cheap OEM PSUs where you may have a no-load situation.

Provide details and we can go from there.

My friend just remembered that the 450W died on him, so this discussion has been pointless. Oh well, I'll just use my laptop until Corsair fixes mine. Probably for the best anyway, I assume you're right that they were both cheap. Thanks for the help.
