two single tv tuners as good as one dual tv tuner?

Is getting two single tv tuners as good or the same as getting one dual tv tuner?

The reason I ask because I am pllaning on getting a media center pc and cyberpower.com offers them at good prices but only offers a single tuner but allows you to pick two.

Also whats the benefits of having a 2 over 1?

well i fyou have 2 singles you need 2 pci slots

if u have i dual, u only need one pci slots.....

.. do you plan on using the other psi slots in the future... Thats what you need to ask yourself...
