I already know about pendrivelinux.com, and when i attempted there gusty gibbon casper persistent tutorial,http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/09/28/usb-ubuntu-710-gutsy-gibbon-install/,
it would not work. I even tried the mbr fix. So i was wondering, couldn't i just boot from live cd, click install, and install it to the flash drive? And if I can't, can anyone here help me? My drive is a 1gig SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro with the U3 software uninstalled.

But no, when i plug in the drive and restart the pc, the drive flashes(it has an activity light)and the pc says boot error. My drive is a 1 gig sandisk cruzer micro, and it came with u3 software, i hated it, and it wouldn't uninstall until i got an update that didn't come out until like 2 months ago and i finally got it off. I'll try the tutorial 1 more time and post the results.
