Ubuntu on IBM Thinkpad

I have an older IBM Thinkpad a22p that I was thinking about putting Ubuntu Netbook edition on, but I'm worried that I won't be able to find the video drivers for the Thinkpad's ancient GPU, ATI M3 Rage Mobility 128 or it's Netgear WG511T Wireless card. The machine is currently running Win XP pro.

So will the video drivers built into Ubuntu recognize the ancient GPU or is there some where I can download them, and what about the Netgear wireless card? Should I choose another Linux?

Thanks

From the googling that I did it might be hit or miss for the drivers but if you want to try it out and see you can install wubi. It will install Ubuntu for you as a program in windows and if you don't like having the dual boot you can just uninstall Ubuntu from your programs then uninstall wubi. it will be completely off your system.
