Ubuntu?

I cant get Ubuntu to install. I click install and see a little bar with an orange slider bouncing back and forth for a while, then it turns into a bargraph/progress graph, and after that completes the screen turns black. I can hear my CD spinning in its drive but the screen is black, then the CD stops, and the screen just stays black. There are no errors on the CD or anything. I dont know if it has to do with my 7900 GPUs in SLI or what?

This may sound odd, but try moving the mouse around or pressing a key. I had a problem once with the very same symptom you described. it turned out that, for some odd reason, as soon as X loaded, it went into power-save mode and shut of the monitor.

|Try a different Linux Distro like PCLinuxOS 2007 has everything i needed. Even codecs to play movies. www.pclinuxos.com check it out. Its a KDE distro not a GNOME.
