Guys,
I am building a pc right now with the motherboard, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H. I have 2 old IDE HD's which came from my other pc where one of which is 200gb and the other is 25gb. I am using converters for both drives. I have connected the 200gb to the converter and when i boot the machine into the bios and set the boot priorities, i see both the DVD and HDD drive icon. However, just above the HD icon i see in red writing 'uefi' which is set as boot prority 2 and DVD drive as 1. When i reboot the machine and attempt to install Win 7 Ult 64 Edition, i cannot see my hard drive even when i click refresh. How can i make Windows recogise my HD?
The fact that it says UEFI on top of my HD icon could that be linked to the reason why it does not display when installing Win 7 Ult? Since when i refresh the screen i cannot see any HD's for it to be installed onto?
Thanks
