Ugh, more computer problems

I have an old Compaq, and I downloaded a game with a no cd crack thing with it, an .exe file, and big surprise I got a virus. On top of that I now keep getting the "Page fault in no page area" message. They symptoms of the virus are pop ups telling me my computer is infected with the w32 virus and runs a fake "scan" telling me to buy their removal products, and other pop ups telling me to buy medicine online and occasionally not being able to log onto the internet because my browser (Firefox, and even IE) are like redirected somewhere else and it displays the message like Im not connected to the internet. I cannot have my external drives connected because if they are, when it boots up it'll just immediately crash as opposed to when they're disconnected, I can use the computer for a while without big problems.

Ive downloaded a few virus removal programs like Hijack this and RegCure, but they haven't really done anything.

The Hijackthis log looks like this:

Come on guys, don't give up so easily. Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking and download www.malwarebytes.org. Run a full scan. Update your Anti-virus and run a full scan. If it is still fubar, then download and install Combofix.

May i recommend Avast! anti-virus? Not sure on what other peoples opinions are on this, but its kept an aging, half kicking celeron going (my parents) for way longer than any other free AV would've done (to my knowledge). Plus, the main advantage I'm thinking of right now is the whole boot-time scan ability, which is fantastic at rooting out little buggers stuck in system files that can't be accessed while the OS is running.

Reformat you Hardrive and Reinstall the OS and you could try using Eset Smart Security. I am using this AV software with firewall it has been reliable for 2 years. I also find helpful tips and solutions on Solutionbay. You guys any suggestions for our friend

Now ill hand it to a few on this board. i Would just kill the system and restart fresh ( make a recovery on your externals for occasions like this from now on. i however do not encourage you to stop pirating. Refine your methods and please read comments. i advise you to find out what other people have to say about something before you download it. One man says you could start in safe mode which is fine and dandy but then your going through the registry and filesystem. you could also try a system restore if your pc is set up with restore points.

Woah woah woah, so Monolith, your condoning download pirated software???? What the world, this forum is not for that kind of stuff, if you want to give advise on how to do such things, it shouldn't be done here.

1st of all stop asking and downloading pirated software, you should have read the forum rules before posting stuff like that,
2and thing download the AVG antivirus home edition its free, update its viruse definition and run a complete system scan, i suggest you to use the boot time scan feature,
and once again using a pirated software is a crime,
