i know this probably belongs in the CPUs and Overclocking section, but this is groundbreaking news....Intel just released their Core2Extreme QX9650...which has 12MB L2 cache.

Well we've known about this for several months, so it's not entirely new to us. But it is amazing how fast processors are becoming.

i know we knew the release date OMEGA, but you know how release dates can be sometimes...its just exciting to me how there's this amazing hardware out there, and it baffles me as to how people can afford to drop nearly 1100-1200 bucks on a little chip.
simply amazing.


wonder how high it can OC...and what cooler is the best to do it with...im continuing this on the CPU and OC thread

I know, but there are a few people out there who spend $1000-$1500 on a new CPU whenever they come out, while i'm on my E6400 that I bought for $60 back in June. I'm sure it can hit 4GHz easily with a decent motherboard and aftermarket cooling.
