uhm.... a few problems and questions

well, first off, my RAM didnt pass Memtest and so i took it out and am sitting on my other gig that i have. it doesnt run stable unless the RAM is at 2T insted of 1T. another is: i have my computer at stock speeds and my processors idle is 43C :eek: thats hot as hell for me, my computer never saw these temps before on my SI-97A, but now im on an XP-120 and the temps are higher?? it might just be that the AS5 hasent completly set yet. and another thing, whats the highest safe voltage for my kind of processor? ive ran it at 1.68V [email protected], but the temps were 120F, which i dont like
 
my temps are all usually under 100F, and the fact that im already moving 213CFM through my case, i dont thing i could get better airflow unless i stuck an air compressor blowing air at it directly. i think its just the fact that its AS5 and needs to settle

Even though your board is suposed to run 4 DS DIMMS 1T, you might need a little tweaking to get it working 1T. Try posting on DFI street, they should be able to give you the right settings for your RAM. Oh and make sure your on the newest BIOS.

Yeah that is kinda hot... nothing extreme but I would expect better temps. Let the AS5 set like you said.

For 24/7 use its usualy not a good idea to run over 1.55 V on air.

How many times do I have to tell you, 43C is not hot!! Stop being so damn anal :P
 
oh, but you know how much i like to anal things.... uhh, be anal about things, eric... and besides, with a $50~ cooler and a 75CFM 120mm fan and alot of airflow, you'd think it would be alot cooler
 
Hmmm, three choices:
Liquid cooling: (I doubt you'll get)
Move your case to another place where there is plenty of air flow, or just buy a new one.
Buy a new fan...

if i got any more airflow, id go deft, and the computer would probable fall off of my desk.... and i have a Thermaltake Tsunami, its a big case with alot of airflow
 
Okay then...So WTF is your heat problem? It's not the airflow, it's not your case nor where it is... Maybe your fan isn't at full clock speeds?
 
RPMS are high 4300RPM for the CPU fan 120mm, 7300RPM chipset 40mm, 5600RPM for the back fan 120mm, 2400RPM for the front fan 120mm, 2300RPM for the bottom fan 120mm, 3000RPM for the side fan 92mm, 3200RPM for the other side fan 92mm, 2300RPM for the PSU fan 120mm, and i dont know the RPMS for the fan on my NVS5R3 70mm (i think). and im a fan of negitive air pressure, as i think its best to stretch the expandable hot air in the case then to compress it

I thought you said your comp was silent and you run them at low speeds?

My comp is so quiet I can barely hear it, and all I have is stock hsf for the cpu, chipset fan (both running max speeds), 1 fan in the front and one in the back, and right now my CPU is 25C.

Dont know what your problem is, but those temps are fine, you anal whore you :P
