uknown device after fan install

I was having a problem with my processor overheating had a crappy factory fan so I replaced it with a Thermaltake Volcano 11+ after I installed the fan and the front control for it. I started up windows and I got the problem below anyone have anyh ideas?
 
Hmmm...

Why would the fan affect any of that? It does not make sense. Try thinking about other changes you have made man.

same thing i was thinking jan but i havent changed anything else just opened up my box took off the old fan and installed the new

Definitely worth the try. I am kinda puzzled by it. Make sure you tell us what the solution that worked was....if you find a solution. One thing, I suppose the fan only uses the three pin connector right? Nothing extra?

Figured out the problem. For some reason it lost the modem when I unhooked everything not sure why. Dont know why it had so many devices listed though. Took the modem out everything is fine now.

ah that makes sense (it being the modem), modems usually have a bunch of 'extra' devices (things for the dialing sound output and full duplex managers). Although it loosing all the drivers is a bit weird.

:D I thought I was going mad man. I mean it did not make any logical sense as there are obviously no drivers or anything for fans. I feel smart again :cool: .
