So my current computer has suffered from registry errors. Im not sure if it was a faulty HDD or something I got from online. I download a lot of product documentation and cut sheets online for my job, so I need really high internet security. I usually use Avast!, spybot S&D. What else do I need so that I dont download anything that could potentially damage my PC? thanks

Seeing as how your using Avast and S&D I'm guessing you don't want to pay for your security program, so I'd recommend Comodo Internet Security (CIS) its an easy all in one suite.

CIS - http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/free-internet-security.php

Along side CIS run "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" or "Super Anti-Spyware" as your on-demand scanner every two weeks/month to check for anything CIS may have missed.

Extra, switch your browser to google chrome or firefox and add WOT (add-on/extension.)
