ultra long loading times

When windows boots up, when it gets to the little bar going across with the xp logo above it, it takes ages to go do this abnormally long amount of time, i havent changed or installed anything new on the computer just rebooted and it does it every time, once its done windows loads the same speeds as usual after that, any1 know the solution??? please

defrag, update windows, remove unnecessary programs, run disk cleanup. See if that speeds it up, if not try repairing your Windows installation if you have the boot disk
