ultra namebrand ram

is this a good name brand? i have not heard much about them. I am looking for some ram for my new computer and i can get 2 gb's of this stuff for 160 dollars at tigerdirect.

The brand is relatively blah as for the product, there's not enough information to be able to comment competently (which prolly means it not that spectacular)

It is probably safer to go for a well known brands as their being tested for quite some time now unless you know they make good quality stuff from launch.

Maybe someone on this forum would like to share some specs and benchmarks on this ram

Go for Corsair, OCZ, Kingston, there are a few others that are well-known.

ive heard its good ram but dont get it. they dont show you the timings at all and i would think that if they are that cheap the timings would be high. go with another brand.

I once found an Ultra message board, their products are supposedly good and reliable, but the ram is not very fast reacting if I remember what I read correctly.
