An incredible 2000W with +12V@150A. Absolute overkill for ANY system, but a new leader in the 'my PSU is bigger than yours' battle.

I know that power requirements are ever increasing, but this is ridiculous!

what pc uses that? a super computer or something/ Although it be kewl to have it so you know you have enough power powering your computer.

In fact, most household circuits can't even provide the AC power this unit would require in order to put out 2000W of DC power.

External? I wouldn't have it for the world. Having a huge computer is one thing, but I like to keep all the parts in the case .

But yeah, I agree with Jet, having a large and heavy case is one thing, but having an external powersupply is just too much. Try taking that thing to a lan party, you'd need 4 plugs just to work you computer!

If you got a mobo with like 3 PCI slots and got like 3 GeForce 8800s and like 8 gigs of ram....ect you would probably only use half of that

i reccon you could fir the big unit into the base of a Lian Li V 2_00 series case or mabey any case with dual PSU bays ontop of each other....

over here you can draw 16A max from 1 line (else a fuse will switch off in a household) thats 3680Watt. I mean.. usually a electrical welding machine uses that ammount of power.. but this is just ridicculus.

neither does it have anything to do with advancements.. newer hardware should require more power.. But less,.. or at least more power per watt.
I'm not going too high on a power supply,.. and im actually planning on using this one for at least 5 years. 2kW for a pc,.. are they completely nuts? :x

I guess with dual core and the fancy RAM, HDDs and video cards a 600W unit would not come amiss................ but 2 kilowatts?............ damn thing must be heating the room as well as percolating coffee?
