I'm getting this issue where its saying I don't have permition to go onto this paticular computer from my computer other computers on the network can get on, i've checked the permitions and there fine there open to everybody

under the error message it also says "Not enough server storage is available to process this command"

I've tryed going into the regerty and changing the IRPStackSize to heaps of different values but its still not working I've even turned off all firewalls anti vuris or any of them programs on both computers. I can access other computers fine just not this partictular one.

Some help please.

Its a Workgroup network, the computer I'm on is Windows Vista Ultimate edition, and the other computer is Windows XP Pro with SP2, I have no issues connecting to other XP Pro(sp2) base comptuers just this one partictular one.

Do you have a user account on the computer that you are trying to access that matches the user account that you are trying to access it from?

Do you have anything shared on the computer that you are trying to access?

i am getting exact same messages/problem my computers are running XP pro and XP Media center, from the xp pro i can see the other comp. but when i try to get to a shared folder/harddrive it wont let me in. saying permission/memory. i have tried using cable and wireless connections and both have same symptoms.

What user names do you have for each computer?

The computers both have things shared that i'm trying to access, The user names are both different one is called charlie and the other one is called tina(i'm trying to fix a friends network..its his business) and both only have 1 account on them.

Try adding a user name to the computer that you are trying to access that matched the username of the computer that you are using.

Does that make sense?

axgrinder, that makes sense but ive never had to do that before.if i do that and it works, will i be able to delete the new username and every thing still work? i really dont like having more than one user.

Well, I have run into issues when the computer you are trying to connect with is using a user account that doesn't have a password. So, if this applies to your situation, you might try adding a password to your account.

I have run into similar problems but it has been a while and I forget exactly what I had to do to fix it.

Let us know what works.
