Unable to connect to router

I have a wired router (must be like 8 years old now) and it is working fine except for one thing

I wanted to change some settings today so I typed in the IP (192.168.1.1) in the url in firefox. This has worked for me in the past, although I have not tried it in the past few months. My browser loads and loads but never loads anything. Eventually it times out. I have tried pinging the router and it responds fine (around 1 ms). I have tried from multiple computers (each with a different connection to the router) and none of them work. Please Help :S

have you tried it in IE? ...just a suggestion, probably wont make a difference.

i wouldve said someone could have got into your network and changed the router address...but its not wireless so nvm.

id try what memory said though, seems like the best possible solution.

well actually there is a wireless point in my network, but the IPs are fine. I can ping the router successfully.

IE doesnt work

I will try unplugging/replugging the router
