unable to get online

Could any of the membership please tell me how to get online.
I can dial up okay using broadband, but i cannot open any pages on the web
after this. I,am using Windows Me and i have tried everything even loading on windows again but without success. My computer is working great apart
from this problem and i,am lost for a solution. Would you please post a few
ideas that i may try to solve the problem.

P,S. i have used my other computer to post this.

First thing that comes to mind is pay your internet bill...lol!

Make sure your ethernet is enabled!

Are all your lights on your modem on? Is any flashing or red?

Did you call your ISP and ask them about it?

well, its been a while since ive had any dealings at all with dial up but make sure in internet explorer you have selected to use your dial up connection.

To check go to TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS - CONNECTIONS - then make sure you have selected to ALWAYS DIAL A CONNECTION, and make sure your current dial up connection is set as default.

He said he is using broadband...you have to dial out to make a connection with dsl I would assume this is what he is using?
