First I will tell you I'm not a computer wiz by any stretch. I think that will be clear after reading this next question. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice you may have for me with this annoying problem. So without any further intro what do you think of this issue?

How is it possible that something can be loaded into my computer that I did not do myself?

I have a file called "My Music" which is something that I think came with the XP software. I don't download music or save any files into this, I never even looked into that file before today. There is only a 3 year old, my wife and myself in this house. MY wife does not use the computer with very rare exception and my son is far to young to fool with it at any capacity.

I have a whole load of saved files in this "my music" file which I did not put there and they are of a sexual nature. Any guesses as to how they could be saved within my computer? I get the occasional Viagra and cealis EMails along with the Standard porn crap that shows up. I always delete these emails without opening or clicking within them. In some rare cases I will click on an email to read it not knowing who it was that sent it to me. When I see it's crap I just delete them.

How is it possible that I have a file called "My Music" that has had a whole bunch of files saved that I did not put there?

most likely you got it by giong to some website (not porn necessarily), it loads spyware and adware onto your computer, fills your computer with unwanted ad's, programs, ect. Firewalls dont always work against adware, get Ad-Aware Pro, it has ad-watch which is suppose to block files from being installed on your computer.

When you say the porn crap, do you mean pop-ups? Then you have spy/adware.Try and download a few spyware programs to get rid of it, one called Spybot search and destroy is one that is good.

You shouldn;t be getting random porn pop-ups if thats what you ment.

If you're using Windows Internet Explorer check your security settings, if you set them too low, you'll let everything in.
