Uncles P4 rig rig is cool!!!

Hey all,

im using my uncles pc and i looked at his system tempratures and im amazed how cool his system runs.

it has a Intel Pentium 4 @ 3Ghz 531 non HT (Prescott)

i thought it was normal for prescots to run at 45c - 50c on idle because i heard they run hot anyway but he just has a standard crappy cooler

running at nice temps dont you think?
this rig runs cooler than my AMD rig

LOL hold on a sec. I've never seen a cpu run at 13..... What kinda cooling is he using?

haha i know its either a dodgy sensor or he has some cheap but great cpu cooler on it.

however its realy cool in the computer room.

its gone to 27c now

try a different program and see what it says. I'm on a p4 530 HT laptop and it idles around 72c.

Ha! PC Wizard 2007 tells me I have 12C

Everest told me my D 940 was idling at 18*C... That's when I decided to stick with SpeedFan

SpeedFan has always worked great for me. Also today I decided to try Intel Thermal Analysis Tool and it gives me the same readings so I am happy.

You cant have temperatures much lower than room temp.
