I have a file that I cant delete. How can I delete it?

What message do you get when you try to delete it?

Yeah, we'll need to know what message you're getting. It could be in use by a process, or you may not have the proper permissions.

Without knowing what message you get and taking a guess, try to delete it in safe mode.

Cannot delete *****: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try agian.

Try opening up Task Manager and ending suspicious looking processes. Be careful though, close the wrong one and you'll end up needing to restart. Possibly, you have a spyware/virus type process running in the background. You could try running a spyware and virus scan.

My solution:

Download MoveOnBoot

Run it, and select the file(s) you want to delete.

Finished.



Ofcourse, it probably depends on which file you are trying to delete. You can't just go around removing all the core Windows files...
