Hi. This morning I accidentally deleted some videos and photos from my mobile phone (were on memory card). Can you suggest a good and free undelete program which I can use to recover them. Thanks
 
I've actually used Recuva on a formatted SD card before, and it was only able to recover a very small portion of the lost data. I'd have to recommend PhotoRec, as it was able to recover everything from the SD card. It's not quite as user-friendly as Recuva, but works much better.
 
I've found recovery utilities quite poor for recovering jpg and bmp files even shortly after deletion from the Recycle Bin. The file header is usually unreadable. I don't know why.

I did a quick test comparing Recuva and Photorec on one of my HDDs. Recuva came up with a huge list of recoverable files (on quick scan) but even the "Excellent" condition jpgs I tried did not recover properly. Photorec has no selection other than by file type. It did not come up with very many jpgs from allocated free space but all that it found were in working order.

The way Photorec operates reminded me of an old data recovery program I have which also looked at data structure rather than the file system. Photorec is not very user-friendly but if you are desperate.....
