Under-Clocking my Video Card

Hi, I was reading the OC101, and trying to find out how to overclock a video card so that I can underclock mine.. but all it says is that it will be delt with in the video card section of this forum, and then there is no sticky here for it.. so i thought i would just ask how to do it.
 
it doesnt work correctly, and it crashes alot, i was hopeing if i underclock it i would be able to use it as my main video card (I dont game alot but would like the capture part of the card)

Its an ATI all-in-wonder radeon 7500 64mbs
 
im just interested in the capture capabilities of this card which work perfectly, I would be extremly satisfied if i could get my on-board video card to work while having my AIW installed

this is possible, but pointless.
 
install both drivers. most ATI cards have a secondary display, like a TV or somthing. just use default as onboard and keep your card in with the AIW drivers, not the display drivers. (you can do custom install and install everything except the display drivers) now use your onboard. why is it pointless? that is about the most obvious thing ever. why go though all of that trouble...when you can just use your AIW card??? why, what the hell kind of senerio would happen you need onboard and AIW, that you couldnt just use AIW for both anyway? i'll pay pal you 50 bucks if you give me a good reason, i know there isnt one.
 
the reason is because the AIW card doesnt work well, its not stable i think its broken, but the video capture part of it works perfectly. I already said that above.

But as soon as I turn on my computer with the AIW card pluged in it is using the AIW card and wont use my onboard, it doesnt need a display driver to do this.
 
lol...you owe him $50 for not reading the entire thread. he said his card was broken a few times already but the capture was all he wanted.

If you get BSOD's, i would check the error codes you are getting. Could be as simple as having a PCI slot and AGP slot sharing an IRQ and not liking it. I had that problem (AGP card and wireless card) and after i switched PCI slots everything ran fine.

kid, you dont know jack. You can use onboard and a seperate gpu for multi moniter, granted only on some shipsets and bios's. But then i have still earned my $50.

Are we to assume you're a liers about the $50?

although i dont get any BSoDs, It just runs like SH*T, always tying up my computer to a frozen like state, just when im in windows, and It can't even run 3DMark01 haha i would think a radeon 7500 would be able to at least make a crappy mark in it lol..

since you dont know me, and what i DO know, (im a IT director with a bachelors degree in CNS, getting my mojor now, i'll you know when i get it). you can stfu now, thanks. if the AIW isnt stable, its not broken, tards cant tweak a card and say i know nothing? thats ignorance at its best. i dont owe anyone 50 bucks, because i still fail to see a good reason. end of discussion.

this is rare, but a very good suggestion, i would try that.

Being an IT director doesn't mean you know anything. I know many IT people who have no clue what their talking about, so do everybody a favor and stop running around acting like you're the king of computers.

no one is king of computers, thats a no brainer, at no time did i say anything about me being excessivly smart. i cant even spell half the time. its just problem solving, trouble shooting computers is the one dam thing im actually good at in my life, so dont insult it arogantly. being an IT director takes loads of work, although i agree most IT's dont know crap from a hot girl, i do, since your not an IT, its you who dosent know. CASE CLOSED. can you stop acting like a 2 year old and start helping this poor guy who cant get his system stable? iv said my 2 cents. all I have done, is try to help people. so what if my attitude is a bit extreme, or i act like a tard, who really cares as long as the problems solved?
