Underground 1 vs Carbon

Hi, everyone who is interested on NFS! I'm the real fan of Underground 1. About 50 % of my friends says that Carbon is like Underground 1 and other 50 % says that it is s**tly game. Please help me with my choise (play/don't play; buy/don't buy):confused: :confused: :confused:

its in my opinion underground 3. I have it for 360, psp and pc. All of them are kind of crap compare to the nfs most wanted which is the best series of nfs I ever played. In my opinion its not really worth wasting 40 dollars on it. But if you like it go ahead an give it a try.
 
Carbon is a cross between Underground "2" and Most Wanted but is not like Underground "1" at all.

You make up your own mind on whether to play or not ;). You can always download a demo to see if you like it.
 
I say go and buy it. If you like Underground and Most Wanted, you will like Carbon. I have it and its enjoyable. They took out drag racing and added drifting. Its a wash for me since I don't like either. I little bit different gameplay this time which is nice. I'm about 50% done and have only lost maybe 5 races. (i'm not a great racer.)

They are so far different it would make little sense to believe they are just "copies".

Most Wanted and Carbon have completely different gameplay to Underground 2.

Yes they are very different. The reason why I make the comparison is because you have an entire city which you drive around and race. You drive to shops etc. just as you did in Underground 2. It is very similar in that aspect and that aspect is a "large" part of the game. So they are very much the same in that aspect.

Underground 1 is so far different. You could not drive around any city. You choose races and raced them, that is it. If I remember, you still got to pimp your ride. So racing and ride pimping is about the only similarities there.
 
imo carbon is the weakest out of all the NFS games, it was just poor, specially on pc what with all the bugs it came with. I think that the best NFS game was underground 2, it all felt right, just my opinion.

Mine was Underground 2 and Most wanted. Underground 1 was pretty good but does not compare. Carbon, well I just do not care for it.
 
When underground 1 came out it was one of the best racing games, it was very different different than the previous NFS games, and also it has the best songs out of all NFS games.

When underground 2 came out I didn't like it because it was very similar to underground 1. The only difference I see in Underground 2 is that you can drive to shops. The songs in undergroud 2 were not as good as underground 1. And people who played underground 1 will not enjoy underground 2 because they will play the same game again.

For me I like the underground 1 the most then followed by carbon and most wanted, and underground 2 is the worst one

I was disagreeing but was going to leave it alone until I read this. It always floors me how people think. That whole comment was a "FALSE" one. I played underground 1 and enjoyed 2 even better.

Underground 1 and 2 are extremely different. You do not just drive to shops, You drive to races (or you can jump to races). You can just drive freely around a rather large city and challenge other drivers throughout the city. There is a feeling of realism that Underground 1 did not have.

When you have games like Underground 1&2 you have to expect them to be similar because 2 is the sequel to 1. That concept should be well known by all. Also they come out with sequels because enough people thought it was worth playing again, yet improved (sometimes not so much improved).

Anyone saying that Underground 2 was a copy of 1 then.... duh! yet it was improved drastically.

Again the "And people who played underground 1 will not enjoy underground 2 because they will play the same game again." comment is totally nuts. You just spoke for everyone that has played Underground 1, and some of us can speak for ourself :P.

acturally I think most wanted have the best sound over all. but under 1 is ok. carbon is really peice of crap thats good for nothing. I can not find the excitment of pursuit no more from most want on carbon. I guess I really hate racing at night hehe.
 
Yes. Buy.

If you like any of the NFS games, you'll like this one also. It's just a little mix of a little of everything. The only really new thing on there is the new drift engine where it takes a little to get used to. A race called Canyon where you try to stay as close to your opponent as possible down a canyon, then he does the same after that. If he scores more point that you, you lose, vice versa and u win.

If you are already thinking about it. Go for it. The game itself is relatively short. However, I like the customization and drive around so that's what makes it for me.

You have a real way of letting us all know that you feel that your opinion is the only right one.

It is all a matter of taste in the end of the day, we are all different and like different things. We can lend advice and our opinions but we have to be ready to accept that others have opinions as well. I'll tell ya, some people will down right hate the songs on all of these games ;). They are not deaf, they just have a different opinion of what is good. You need to stop talking for the masses and start talking for yourself.
 
Ya, I hate all the NFS soundtracks since Porsche Unleashed... i've been trying to find a music changer for MW. I'd say wait until the price on carbon comes down to $20... and wait for the special edition...

The easy fix is too turn off the music and play some music in WMplayer/itunes or any other personal player/stereo etc. :).
 
I would wait until it is sold for less than $20, and then get it. Then if you don't like it, you won't have wasted $50 on it.

NFS:MW was one of the best from the NFS series so far, in my opinion. Of course I never played U1 or U2, so I'll have to see whether they are better or worse.
