Underpowered?

My specs are in my sig.

Im wondering this because my friend and i basically built the same pc,only difference is case and psu.

he has the antec 1200 and a 750W.

what im wondering is how he can oc his gtx260 further than i can and still have it be stable. when i try to get the same speeds my display driver cries out in pain and i have to restart. he also has his cpu oc'ed to 3.2ghz and more fans than me cause of the case.

this may be an obvious situation,but im just making sure before i buy a better psu because im getting a quad and dd2-1066 ram soon. thanks.
 
he can overclock his gpu farther than you, simply because its a better chip, if you really want to get the same clocks, i would look into voltmoding your card, but if you screw up, you can end up with a dead card
 
better chip? he bought his a couple weeks before i bought mine. same company,brand,and i guess store wouldnt make a diff but it was the same store too.

ill take your word for it though...other that PSU power its the only thing to me that would make sense.

DCIScouts - thanks for the link,looks like a good PSU. Would 750 be enough for a while? Ive been slowly looking into ones more in the 800-900W range just so i wouldnt need one for a long time if i decide to go crazy with new hardware. If 750 is enough i think ill get that one.

Ill see if they have one at a local store though,not huge on buying pc related stuff online,if its DOA or arrived damaged its a longer process to get a new one.
