unfixable keyboard problem

Let me start off by saying I don't know anything about computers, but I have a problem that I fear may be unfixable. I spilled juice on my toshiba's keyboard and some of the keys shorted out. Somehow I managed to put a password on my computer so it wouldn't even fully boot up without it. This is not a windows password, it comes up right after the toshiba logo. Unfortunately, some of the keys that shorted out are needed for the password. I bought an external keyboard but I can't install it unless I can get into windows. It's like a catch-22 problem I have here. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are ready to throw your keyboard away you can do this......
Remove your keyboard from the laptop... Place in a bowl of luke warm water for 8 hours then hang the keyboard up to dry for 24 hours.... 100% dry ..Replace the keyboard and see if it works.. The keys could just be stuck.... and need cleaning..

The water will not hurt the keyboard as there is no exposed wires just keep the connection wires out of the water with a peg or something.. I did this when i spilt teawith sugar on my laptop and it was fine afterwards...

If not....

Ok so you Have made a bios Password?

Ok for your keyboard.... What Laptop Toshiba???? make model No??

How old is it???

I have a Toshiba Sat 2450-201 and it is very easy to change the keyboard...

Also where do you live?? If it is the uk phone this number...

Toshiba Repair Huge Symons. 0870-890-6000 they will quote you a price for the new keyboard.. Good company i have used them..

well first try plugging an external keyboard into the usb or ps2 port. if all keys type fine that it may be as simple as buying another keybaord for it off ebay (they are cheap on their with a lot of selection)

He cannot plug a usb keyboard.. The bios does not support usb boot.... and he cannot get into his computer because he has set a pasword somehow...

all laptops should have a keyboard/mouse port on the back, you try just plugging in a PS/2 keyboard, see if it will recognize it. (it should)
