I need help uninstalling my on board video card so that I can install a new one. I am clueless as to where to start to uninstall the onboard video card. HELP!!
The on board will automatically disable itself.
As soon as the new video card is installed, the on board will be useless, and when the video card comes unplugged, on board will work again.
When I installed my AGP card, I had to go into my BIOS setup and set the VGA Memory Share amount to "Disabled" instead of the 32MB that had been used before. Save and reboot. Should see your new card.

I stuck an Nvidia into the PCI-E slot in my HP and it fired right up through the Nvidia card. I was always under the impression that the on board would disable itself automatically, I'm glad mine worked because at the time I wouldn't have known to have gone into BIOS to disable the on board.
When going intoo the bios to disable the onboard should i have the new video card installed already or should i wait til i turn it off in the bios first?
This probably sounds like a really stupid question... but if i was going to go into my bios and uninstall that how would i get to it? The video card is AGP ATI Radeon
