Uninstalling previous Motherboard/bios

[Dos Boot]

I upgraded to a new Motherboard/CPU/RAM and desire to use the
original Hard Drive. How do I best go about removing the prior Motherboard's
device drivers/files or do I even have to do that? I tried to do a search first here with 0 results. Thanks, John

If you are using a motherboard with a different chipset than your old one, and you are trying to use a HDD with an OS already on it from the old motherboard, then you will have to reformat the HDD and reinstall the OS.

Otherwise you will have nothing but problems. The system will be unstable and will probably not boot up at all.
