Uninstalling Problem

Alright, I have this game called Roller Coaster Tycoon that has been having issues. Here's exactly what has happened:

I put the CD in

The pop-up Menu (Auto-Run) shows up asking if I want to install the game

I click it

I have tried to install it, and half way through installing, a failure of the installation occurs.

Installations stops

I try to reinstall it

So the pop-up menu shows up, but the only option is to play the game and when I click that, another pop-up window shows that an error occured.

I have two discs of this game, one which I bought when it came out, and the other when I lost the first CD and bought one out of a cereal box. The Cereal box one works, but I got mixed up which one worked and which one didn't. So I can easily reinstall it... but here's the problem

When I go to the control panel and try to uninstall it, it certainly does so... or so I thought. I uninstalled it, but it didn't do anything.

So I went to the files, and completely deleted them off the computer including the recycle bin.

Then I tried to uninstall it again, with the same situation... it says I uninstalled it, but in the Add or Remove place, the game is still there.

When I run the Auto-Run, I have no option to uninstall, reinstall, or throw the game out the window...

Please help!

Thanks,
Adam

go into computer, then into your c drive, then into program files (x86) and locate the folder will either be name of the game or the maker of the game and just delete the folder from there and reboot, then try again if you wish is the game compat with your system ?

There is nothing on my computer of the files, but it says it's still there, but it won't delete.

It will stay in the add/remove programs list because you didn't uninstall it properly, so it doesn't know that it has been uninstalled.

If you want it out of the list, install it again and uninsatll. If it does what it was doing before, use a force removal program. There are several of them kicking about, aswell as some suites that have it as a feature, and there are plenty of free ones, just use google :)

Check your My Documents folder, as a lot of games with create different folders out of the Program Files folder for different things like screen shots.
